January 4 was Chief Deputy John Reichling’s last day, and Chief Deputy Troy Loeffelholz’s first day with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Reichling leaves the Sheriff’s Office after faithfully serving 34 years, beginning in 1982 as a Jailer/Dispatcher before being appointed as Undersheriff under Sheriff Vernus Olson. Reichling continued as Undersheriff / Chief Deputy under Sheriff Scott Pedley for 25 years and remained on to ensure a smooth transition for current Sheriff Reg Gill.
Loeffelholz comes to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office with 26 years of experience in law enforcement, having most recently served as Chief of Police for the City of Cuba City before coming to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s office in January of 2015.
The staff of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank Chief Deputy Reichling for his faithful service and tireless devotion to the office and the people of Lafayette County.
