South Wayne's street construction in final phase
SWPave653

Laying down blacktop marks the end phase of a summer long street project in South Wayne. Mark Digman of Delta 3 stated, “The 2017 Infrastructure Improvements’ Project for the Village of South Wayne was a very large project that replaced around 20% of the entire Village’s street and water main infrastructure. The Project was completed on Grove Street from County Highway D to Wyota Street, McKnight Street from State Highway 11 to High Street, and Pleasant Street from Verley Street to McKnight Street and included complete replacement of the water distribution system, installation of new storm sewer, and complete street replacement.  The Project was funded by a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant for Public Facilities (CDBG-PF) from the Wisconsin Department of Administration using federal CDBG funds; a $500,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP); and the remaining balance from a low interest loan from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.”
