The City of Platteville and the Platteville Community Arboretum Moving Platteville Outdoors Steering Committee will be holding a Grant Contract Signing and Groundbreaking Ceremony for the MPO Rountree Branch Trail lighting and paving project.

The groundbreaking will be held near the west end of the trail at Delta 3 Engineering, 875 S. Chestnut St., Wednesday, April 1 at 4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend.

As of early this week, the fundraising campaign has raised more than $604,000, with less than $38,000 needed to match the Department of Natural Resources grant award, and less than $4,500 to reach the Cindy Tang Challenge Match threshold.
