For free COVID testing

BOSCOBEL - The InHealth Community Wellness Clinic will now be offering free COVID-19 PCR testing at their clinic in Boscobel.

Volunteers at the clinic have been trained to become part of the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services testing efforts across the state. Executive Director Robin Chamberlain-Sweeney notes that most results are back within 24-48 hours.

“Everyone is welcome to be tested at the clinic,” Chamberlain-Sweeney shared. “You do not have to be a patient at the clinic or showing symptoms of COVID, you can also be tested for travel or peace of mind.”

Testing is available Mondays and Wednesdays between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but people can also drive up to the clinic during their testing times and call 375-4324.

Additionally, for a limited time, the clinic will also be able to offer referrals to help individuals with their mental health, vision, dental and hearing needs.

“It’s about accessibility,” Chamberlain-Sweeney said of the effort, made possible through a grant the clinic received recently. “We know that even though people may have Forward Health or Medicaid they might not be able to get an appointment for these services very easily because many providers don’t accept those insurances or the waitlists are very long.”

Folks interested in a referral or other information about the clinic can call for an appointment at 375-4324.

The clinic is also putting out a call for volunteer medical providers such as Physicians Assistants, Doctors, and Nurse Practitioners to help cover the rotating three hour shifts for the clinic’s regular patients. Interested individuals can also contact the clinic at the number listed above.
