A 21-year-old Platteville man was cited for disorderly conduct Dec. 20.

A Platteville police officer saw a man tip over a mailbox at Main Street and North Third Street around 2 a.m. and then take off running.

Officers caught Collan J. Thom, who is being charged with disorderly conduct.

Thom returned to the intersection to “replace the mailbox to its original position,” police said.
