Too many parking tickets expire your registration

The driver of a car was cited for expired registration due to more than $200 in unpaid parking tickets, and his passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants early Sept. 4.

A car driven by Santana Wilson, 21, Belmont, was stopped by a Grant County sheriff’s deputy at Main Street near Second Street around 12:15 a.m. The vehicle’s registration was suspended for unpaid parking tickets in Platteville and Milwaukee, and the vehicle’s registration was also expired, police said.

Wilson was cited for operating after suspension and operating after suspended vehicle registration.

Wilson’s passenger, Robert Coleman, 21, Belmont, was arrested for three outstanding Lafayette County warrants, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
