Summertime fun at Pec Time Tubing

JEREMIAH AND Ashley Kleiber, owners of Pec Time Tubing in Argyle, will be holding their Grand Opening Saturday, July 1, with plenty of fun for everyone.

ARGYLE – Relaxing in the water on a hot summer day is easy to do in Lafayette County with Pec Time Tubing in Argyle.
The Pecatonica River brought Ashley and Jeremiah Kleiber to Argyle. After spending time tubing down various rivers and spending a lot of time canoeing different branches of the Pecatonica, the Kleibers thought it would be a fun addition to Lafayette County.
“Recreational tourism is a big thing for Lafayette County and we knew we wanted to do something to add to that,” Ashley said.
They had been discussing the idea for a couple years and it seemed time to put ideas to paper. They found the best branch of the Pecatonica to be able to begin their new adventure. After consulting with the DNR, doing a lot of research and cold calling, they were able to purchase a building on State Street in Argyle.
The route begins on the south side of the bridge at the public ramp. It goes down river for three miles and the tubers are picked up on a piece of private land. It takes about three and half hours to float down. They have children’s tubes with a solid bottom and life vests are provided for adult tubes. Small children must come with an appropriate sized life vest. Changing rooms, restrooms and wash stations are available at their office in Argyle. Mesh, reusable trash bags are provided with each cooler tube rental but coolers are not included.
“Everyone has liked it. It is a very secluded branch of the river. There are no houses and it is very scenic. There is great wildlife and cattle all around. It is true Wisconsin,” Ashley mentioned.
Jeremiah and Ashley are very thankful for the community support. They knew growing up in Lafayette County, and now living outside of Darlington, it was important to stay in the county.
Pec Time Tubing will have their Grand Opening Saturday, July 1 with $10 tubing all day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The last tubes go on the river at 3 p.m. and need to be off by 7 p.m. There will be free t-shirts, can koozies and brats and hotdogs while supplies last. If people participating in the adventure come decked out in red, white and blue, there will be additional discounts and prizes.
