Connie G. Childs, 94, Fennimore and formerly of Steuben, died on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore.

She was born on September 20, 1919 in Marietta Township, Crawford County, the daughter of Reuben and Laura (Chandler) Havens. She married Thomas O. Childs on March 14, 1939 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1975.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Eileen Kuehnl officiated. Burial will be at a later date in the Haney Ridge, Cemetery Haney Township, Crawford County.
