Donna Rae Runice, 78 of Viroqua and formerly of rural Ferryville passed away on Thursday morning, September 12, 2013 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. She was born in Vernon County on November 12, 1934 to Harry and Emma (Runice) Simpson. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1953 and on April 10, 1954 married Donald Runice. They farmed at rural Ferryville and Donald died on December 6, 2008. She was a hard working farmer’s wife, excellent mother and grandmother.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Pastor Kathy Ingbritsen officiated. Burial was in the Hauge Lutheran Cemetery, rural Viroqua.
