Erma F. Derr, 73 of Freeport, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, in Beloit. Erma was born on Dec. 5, 1938, in Darlington, the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Paynter) Cullen. Erma married Eldon Derr on March 15, 1965, in Darlington; Eldon died on Nov. 24, 1975. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, Ill., with the Rev. Scott Nesse officiating. Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 5-7 p.m. also at Burke Tubbs. Burial took place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Erma’s memory.
