Surrounded by his loving family, Harold J. O’Brien, 79 of Racine, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Oak Ridge Care Center, Union Grove.  Harold was born in Darlington on July 17, 1932, the son of the late Benjamin and Mary (McKeon) O’Brien. After graduating from Darlington High School, Harold played ball for the Minnesota Twins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., Racine, with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Full obituary in the March 1, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
