I. Irene Ilkka, age 86, of Darlington, formerly of Spring Green, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born Sept. 3, 1928 in Chatham, Mich., the daughter of Abel and Salma Takkinen.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main Street in Darlington with Rev. Hal Schnedler of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Spring Green Cemetery in Spring Green, at a later date. A visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
