    Marion E. Tollakson, age 74 of rural Argyle, WI passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 4, 1941 in Argyle the daughter of Chester H. and Ella (Kolden) Johnson. Marion graduated from Argyle High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Victor Tollakson, Jr. on Jan. 28, 1961 at Argyle Lutheran Church. After her marriage, she and Victor farmed south of Argyle until 1966 when they moved to the Tollakson family farm in Wiota Township where they have lived and farmed since. Marion was also involved with her husband’s seed company, “Tollakson Pioneer.”
    Marion is survived by her husband Jr. at home; son: John (Danielle) Tollakson of Argyle; son-in-law: Ronald Gifford of Blanchardville; five grandchildren: Nicole (Andy) Kurth, Aaron (Jillian) Gifford, Ellie Gifford, Jeremiah Tollakson, and Jacob Tollakson; three great-grandchildren: Dawson and Logan Kurth, and Brooke Gifford; and two sisters: Nora Ostby of Durand, Ill., and Irene (Freeman) Hanson of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Vicki Gifford in 2003; two sisters: Rachel Kubly and Charlene Johnson; and three brothers: Harold, Merlin, and Leo Johnson.
    Marion was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church and its WMF for which she served as past president, and always took an active role in the church. She loved spending time with her family and friends but especially her grandchildren. Marion looked forward to having coffee with friends at Irma’s as well as bowling in her ladies’ Wednesday morning bowling league in Monroe. She was an avid card player and enjoyed going for Sunday drives even if it was in the middle of the week. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.  
    A funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church (1540 Old Highway 81, Argyle 53504) with Rev. Ron Brubakken and Rev. Cal Schaver co-officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church and from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church.
