Melvin Dean Bennett, 64, of Shullsburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1949 in Cuba City, the son of LaVerne and Mildred (Fields) Bennett.
A private family committal will be held at a later date in Council Hill Cemetery, rural Galena, Ill. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.furlongfuneralchapel.com
