Theresa M. Brown, 93, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012, in her home in Clermont, Fla. She was born on Sept. 27, 1918, in Plain. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Laubmeier) Dischler. Theresa attended school in Plain. She entered the convent as a postulate in March 1934 and later left the convent in 1938. She served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary from 1942 and 1943 during World War II. After her discharge, she co-owned the Wiota Tavern from 1951 until 1966. Theresa married her husband, Merle W. Brown on Dec. 26, 1952, in Gratiot. She and her family moved to Orlando, Fla., in 1966. She will be put to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, Fla.
