Seneca boys get off on the right foot

SENECA - The Seneca boys basketball team got off on the right foot, trouncing the Weston Silver Eagles in the first game of the season 65-28.

Seneca’s Ashton Swanson started off the season with a double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Evan Payne scored 13 points. He also had five rebounds and four assists.

Shawn Kirchhoff scored six points and had seven steals. Kadin Wallin also scored six points.

On Tuesday, Dec.7 Seneca had a harder time losing to River Ridge 46-38.

Seneca’s Ashton Swanson again led the team in scoring with 23 points, while Evan Payne scored nine.

On Thursday, Dec. 10, The Seneca boys basketball team got back in the groove defeating Kickapoo 42-36.

Seneca’s Evan Payne led his team in scoring with 18  points. He also had seven rebounds, four assists and two steals,

Ashton Swanson scored 12 points and had five rebounds, while Shawn Kirchhoff scored five points and had four rebounds. Kadin Wallin scored seven points.
