MUSCODA - On Monday night last week, the Riverdale boys’ basketball team hosted Wauzeka in a non-conference game.
The opposing team came out shooting the ball extremely well at the start of the game and continued to do so throughout the first half.
Playing from behind during the first half, the Chieftains relied on key baskets to stay in the game. They were led in scoring during the first half by Dakota Fiebranz who netted eight points in the first period.
Although the home team was down heading into halftime, the second half proved to go much smoother for the home team. The second period was a true team effort as strong defense lead to turnovers, which led to easy baskets for the Chieftains...
