Basketball stars will gather in Wisconsin Dells this summer
Five area seniors selected to play in WBCA All-Star Games

Platteville's Sierra Brecke will play for the Division 3 South team in the WBCA All-Star game in Wisconsin Dells on June 17.

     All four high schools in The Platteville Journal coverage area will be represented in this year’s Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Games that will be held at JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells on Friday and Saturday, June 17–18.

     Platteville’s Sierra Brecke will suit up for the girls’ Division 3 South team, while Potosi’s Maddie Hawes will play for the girls’ D5 South team. Iowa–Grant’s Isaac Anderson and Brayden Johnson were selected for the boys’ Division 4 South team, while Belmont’s Raine Voigts earned a spot on the boys’ D5 South team.

     The girls’ D5 All-Star Game kicks off the festivities on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by the D4 game at 10:45 a.m. and the D3 game at 12:30 p.m. The boys’ D5 game will tip off at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by the boys’ D4 game at 10:45 a.m.

     Proceeds from the WBCA All-Star Games will go directly to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer fund. All athletes and coaches involved in the event must raise money in order to participate. The money raised through donations will go directly to the MACC Fund.

     Each all-star player has his or her own web page on the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association website at http://www.wisbca.org/. Just click on the All-Star Game Donation icon in the upper right corner and find the player you wish to support. All donations can be made electronically.

     Anyone making a donation will receive game tickets upon request. A single game ticket is good for all girls’ games on Friday, as well as all boys’ games on Saturday.
