Frank and Dona (Hensler) Lofy, Platteville, were married on May 11, 1963 at St. Rita’s Church in West Allis.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary with friends and family at a private luncheon party in late June. Celebration will include several events of the Lofy family in 2013.
Their children are Paul (Meadow Aktinson) of Sayner, Pete (Jolene Heins) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary of Manitowoc, and Patrick of Alexandria, Va. They have five grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Scott, Lauren and Max.
The four events to be celebrated in June are: March 29, Frank’s 80th birthday; May 11, Frank and Dona’s 50th wedding anniversary; Sept. 1, Lt. Col. Pete’s retirement after 23 years in the U.S. Army;  and Sept. 3, Paul and Meadow’s 25th wedding anniversary.
