James and DeEtte Thomas of rural Richland Center were married on Sept. 4, 1965, and will soon celebrate their 50th anniversary at a party, with their family and close friends. They have three children, Mike, Leslie and Scott, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. James and DeEtte are both employed at The Richland Observer and have been for nearly as long as they have been married.
