Eric and Janelle (Curtis) Eckdhal of Monroe are the parents of a daughter, Violet Lucille Eckdhal, born Oct. 16, 2013 at the Monroe Hospital in Monroe. Violet weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 ½ inches long.  She joins three siblings: Connor, 6, Althea, 4 and Evelyn, 2.
    Grandparents are Heather and Ken Curtis of Shullsburg and Mary and Jeff Eckdhal of Downers Grove, Ill. Great-grandfather is Joseph Hunley of Antioch, Ill.
