Glen Sherf of Park Place Senior Living in Platteville went on a three-day Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in August. Sherf, a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946, traveled with his son Doug (right) and 106 other veterans and their guardians, and the group visited all the monuments that honor those that have served our country. “If veterans don’t go on an Honor Flight, they are missing out on a wonderful experience,” said Sherf. “I would encourage everyone to go.”
