Kari Renee Kruser, daughter of Steve and Cindy Kruser, Platteville, was united in marriage to Trent Jonathan Leaf, son of Les and Brenda Leaf, Stanchfield, Minn., on July 25, 2015.
The 1 p.m. ceremony was held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Racine, with Reverend Thomas Reynebeau officiating the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Kelli Wood, as matron of honor, with her close friends, Teanna Cardin, Kelsey Del Ponte, Nikki Jackson, Leah Goodness and Krystina Hamilton as bridesmaids. Serving the bride as personal attendants were her friends, Jenny Stielow and Tanya Bolchen.
The best man was Kyle Leaf, brother of the groom; with groomsmen, Keith Kruser, brother of the bride, Ben Wood, brother-in-law of the bride and Wade Holmberg, Bryce Harcey and Bill Frederickson, friends of the groom.
Flower girls were Abby, Ella and Violet Leaf, nieces of the groom. Ring bearers were Ezra and Silas Wood, nephews of the bride, and Andrew Leaf, nephew of the groom. Steve Kauffman and Ted Keyel, friends of the groom, served as ushers.
A dinner reception and dance was held following the ceremony at Infusino’s Banquet Hall in Racine, with music provided by Classic Reunion Music Services, Platteville.
The bride graduated from Platteville High School in 2005 and is a 2010 graduate of UW–Stevens Point, holding bachelor’s degrees in family life education and vocal music. She is employed as the director of religious education at St. Peter’s Parish in Antioch, Ill.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of UW–Stevens Point, holding a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology management. He is employed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a conservation biologist.
After a honeymoon to Niagara Falls, the couple now resides in Union Grove.
