U.S. 151 between Southwest Road and Major Lane southwest of Platteville was the site of two truck crashes Monday morning.

The first took place at 12:06 a.m. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Josiel M. Dos Santos, 36, Papillon, Neb., was driving a car hauler on 151 when he lost control because of ice on the road.

The northbound lanes of 151 were blocked for four hours to remove Dos Santos’ truck.

Then, around 11 a.m., a pickup truck pulling a livestock trailer crashed, blocking the southbound lanes for about one hour.
The Platteville Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.

No one was injured in either crash.
