Beef cow-calf workshop set for Sept. 29 in Wilton

University of Wisconsin-Extension and The Western Wisconsin Beef Producers Cooperative will be hosting a beef cow-calf workshop at the Wilton American Legion on Sept. 29.

Topics that will be covered at the workshops include:

• Internal Parasite Management including resistance problem management, and protocols for different operations, presented by Dr. Sandy Stuttgen, DVM, UW Extension Ag Agent, Taylor County.

• Economic considerations for cull cows and Preconditioning for Fall 2015, presented by Bill Halfman, UW Extension Ag Agent, Monroe County.

The Wilton American Legion is located at 508 Walker St (Hwy 71), in Wilton.  The workshop will begin with registration and a complimentary dinner starting at 5:45 p.m. The presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m., and should conclude at 8 p.m.
