An Open House for the Quilt Block Wind Farm was held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at the Senior Center in the Darlington Municipal Building.  Several displays and handouts were presented at the Open House. Some of the information dispensed included: Located entirely in Seymour Township; When installed it will have the capacity of generating 98 megawatts, enough to power over 36,000 average homes; Quilt Block Wind Farm contributes significant economic benefits to the surrounding community in the form of payments to landowners, local spending and annual community investment; Creating 250 jobs at the peak of construction and 12-13 full time permanent jobs in the area.
