18 busted in drug raids

Eighteen Platteville residents have been arrested on drug charges after a series of raids in the city Wednesday.

The charges include one or three counts each of manufacturing and delivery of marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia, and possessing “mushrooms.”

The arrests are the result of a 10-month-long investigation by the Richland–Iowa–Grant Drug Task Force, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Department release. The raids and arrests were conducted by Platteville, Dodgeville and Richland Center police; UW–Platteville police; the Grant, Iowa and Richland county sheriff’s departments; and the state Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation.

Facing three counts each of manufacture and delivery of THC (marijuana) are Peter Wycklendt, 21; Michael Depons, 21; Craig Wilson, 19; Cole Durdan, 21; Austin Krueger, 20; Ashley Kloss, 21; Randall Runge, 23; Gregory Becher, 21; Troy Frederick, 20; Wesley Ertmer, 20; and Michael Sahs, 21.

Ian Erickson, 21, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and manufacture and delivery of THC.

Chelsey Austin, 20, and Ryan Whitehead, 21, are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Facing one count each of manufacture and delivery of THC are Ryan Schlosser, 22; Ross Kopiske, 21; and Andrew Fells, 23.

Natalie Costello-Mikecz, 21, faces a charge of possession of mushrooms.
