PLATTEVILLE — A 22-year-old man faces a criminal charge and citations after a traffic stop at North Hickory Street and Pine Street March 4.

Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia are pending against Ryan A. Longnecker. He also was cited for operating a vehicle without brake lights and operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance.

Longnecker’s vehicle was stopped for having a brake light out around 5:30 p.m. When an officer walked up to the car, he detected the odor of marijuana, according to police.
