A Lancaster man will be arraigned Jan. 12 on seven Iowa County felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.
Brandon A. Loken, 26, Lancaster, faces charges of party to possession of methamphetamine precursors, party to manufacture or delivery of up to 3 grams of amphetamines, party to possession of methamphetamine waste, and three counts of felony bail jumping. The charges were filed Nov. 20 for an incident Sept. 10–11, according to court records.
Loken also faces charges of felony bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer for an incident Aug. 20, according to court records.
Loken is one of four people arrested for methamphetamine-related charges after a Town of Benton house search in November 2014, two of whom have court appearances set for February.
Loken was placed on four years probation in Lafayette County Circuit Court Oct. 21 after he pleaded guilty to party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. A charge of party to possession of methamphetamine was dismissed in a plea agreement, according to court records.
Haleigh S. Stocks, 24, Highland, is scheduled to have her trial in Lafayette County Circuit Court Feb. 18–19 on charges of party to possession of methamphetamine, party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. A motion hearing is scheduled for Feb. 1.
Stocks made her first appearance in Iowa County Circuit Court Dec. 15 on charges of felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct — domestic abuse for an incident Aug. 20, according to court records. A status conference will be held Feb. 16.
Christopher K. Bennett, 39, Benton, will appear in Lafayette County Circuit Court for a plea/sentencing hearing on those three methamphetamine charges, as well as for a pending disorderly conduct charge, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m.
Stocks’ and Bennett’s three methamphetamine charges include maximum sentences of 15½ years in prison and $30,000 in fines.
Garrett S. Lipshutz, 24, Lancaster, was sentenced to three years probation, including a ban on all use of alcohol or controlled substances without a prescription, an AODA assessment, and random drug testing, after he pleaded guilty to one count of party to possession of methamphetamine. Charges of party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste were dismissed.
Lafayette County deputies and Monroe police executed a search warrant at Bennett’s Town of Benton house Nov. 17, 2014, where products used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were discovered, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Stocks was arrested on a warrant from Grant County, and Loken was arrested on a Department of Corrections probation hold, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Stocks was placed on two years probation, including 60 days in jail, after she pleaded no contest to forgery — uttering as a repeater and felony bail jumping in Grant County Circuit Court Feb. 25. Charges of burglary and theft of up to $2,500 were dismissed, according to court records.
