Alecia Montgomery was recently approved to become a 32-hr/week police officer for the Village of Belmont. Chief of Police, Kurt A. Malott recommended Montgomery be approved for the position by the board in December 2015. Montgomery has been with the Belmont Police Department since 2011. She was part time there and with the Shullsburg Police Department. She is happy to be a part of the Belmont Police Department and feels the people of Belmont are ‘really good people’. Montgomery is a 2010 graduate of Southwest Technical College.
