Prison for sixth OMVI

A 42-year-old Platteville man was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months extended supervision on his sixth drunk driving conviction in Grant County Circuit Court.

Barry Joseph Cook, 165 E. Furnace St., was arrested for drunk driving in Platteville Dec. 7.

Cook had his driver’s license revoked for two years, and will have a two-year ignition interlock requirement when he gets a driver’s license. He was also fined $1,449.
