The Wisconsin Secure Program Facility (WSPF) in Boscobel has been in lockdown since Dec. 16, 2013 following an altercation between inmates.
“The purpose of this lockdown is to conduct a search of the facility and gather information related to the recent inmate assault,” Warden Tim Haines wrote in a Dec. 16 letter to WSPF staff and inmates. “Visits will be suspended for at least one week, additional issues such as showering, recreation, canteen will be evaluated as we move through this process.”

“Basically, they’re doing searches, and it stemmed from an inmate-on-inmate fight,” said Joy Staab, Director of Public Affairs with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, who added that after a month, lockdown status was expected to be lifted by the end of the week.
