Students in grades 5 through 8 recently competed in the Iowa–Grant Middle School Spelling Bee. The champion was eighth-grader William McLeer (left). The second-place winner was eighth-grader Morgan Eisele. Both advanced to the sectional spelling bee at Pecatonica Elementary School Jan. 24.
