The Platteville School District is looking for a new principal for Neal Wilkins Early Learning Center.

The School Board May 12 voted to hire Mineral Point elementary principal and special education director Anne Palzkill.

The Neal Wilkins position was filled after the school district decided against having Westview Elementary School principal Don Shaw serve as principal of both schools, which he had done since November.

The Mineral Point Democrat Tribune reported that Palzkill was going to be the principal at Edgewood Campus School in Madison. Palzkill told Platteville school officials Friday she was taking a different position.
