The Platteville Public Library participated in the Steppingstones to Success: Improving Early Math and Science Literacy  Library Services and Technology Act grant awarded to the Southwest Wisconsin Library System. As part of the grant, the library offered a workshop for parents, caregivers, educators and providers of young children entitled “Play to Learn” on Nov. 9. The library has purchased a large number of books, hands-on manipulatives and big books on S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) topics for young children. Everyone is invited to stop in and check out the new materials.
