Darlington gears up for Canoe Fest

Darlington is gearing up for the 49th annual Darlington Canoe Festival to be held June 11-14, including this year’s Canoe Festival princess candidates: freshman, Emma Crist; sophomore Hannah Kelly; junior Meagan Jacobson and senior Savannah Bergeson.

The winner of the crown will be announced on Friday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the Darlington Festival Grounds and the princess pageant will take place later that night at 8:30 p.m.

The weekend will officially kick off on Thursday evening, June 11 at 6 p.m. with the Sieg Memorial Youth Baseball Tournament, and the festival’s events will just keep coming after that.

The Darlington Canoe Festival offers a variety of activities for everyone of all ages.
