Darlington High School (DHS) presented their annual Christmas concert on Monday night, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
The concert began with the choral part of the evening presented by the collaboration of the DHS treble choir, DHS concert choir and the Darlington Community Choir. They sang a collection of Christmas classics including White Christmas, We Need a Little Christmas and Happy Holiday Medley.
During an intermission after the choir’s performance, concert goers could purchase goodies from the bake sale available. Proceeds collected from the sale will be used by the Parents Music Club to support college scholarships and tuition assistance for music camps.
After the intermission, the DHS concert band presented their portion of the evening and played An American Christmas Portriat, Froehliche Weihnachten (Merry Christmas) and Coventry Carol/Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring.
The choir and band were directed by DHS music director Mat Anderson.
