McCoy Public Library
SHULLSBURG – Fall-A-Days Story Hour at McCoy Public Library is for children 3 years old-5K.  We will meet on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. Oct. 3 - Nov. 14 (no Story Hour Oct. 31). Each week will have a variety of engaging stories, creative crafts and fun activities! 
Sons of Norway
MONROE – The Monroe Sons of Norway Auction will take place Thursday, Oct. 12 at the United Presbyterian Church at 2107 5th Street in Monroe. 6 p.m. register and have a light lunch. Auction begins at 6:30 p.m.
Women’s Guild
DARLINGTON – The Women’s Guild of Immanuel Church will be meeting on Thursday, Oct. 12 at noon. The program will be “Bringing a used gift exchange” Committee will be Judy Huntington: chair, Kate Black: co-chair, Chris Fortin, Chris Ubersox, Helen Parr, Nancy Slama and Mary Lindell. American Legion Steak Fry

Early Autumn Astronomy
BLANCHARDVILLE – Join Yellowstone Lake State Park’s Naturalist for hands-on learning activities for all ages on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to learn about Early Autumn Astronomy.  Meet at the amphitheater near the campground. Park programs are free, but a vehicle admission sticker is required.  Park Office: 608-523-4427.
Lady of Fatima Fall Festival
Our Lady of Fatima Parish will host their Fall Festival and Celebration in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, on Sunday October 15. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. with a Living Rosary, comprised of students and Confirmation students. At 10:30 p.m., Holy Mass with Bishop Morlino will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. After Mass, a roast beef and turkey dinner will be served at the Darlington Municipal Building Gymnasium, which is easily accessible from the entrance on Harriet Street, across the street from the church. There will be a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, as well as fun events for adults and kids. Our Lady of Fatima Parish is a combined family of five Catholic Churches: Holy Rosary in Darlington, St. Peter’s in Elk Grove, Our Lady of Hope in Seymour, St. Michael’s in Calamine, and Immaculate Conception in Truman. We are coming together to celebrate this historic event, which happened 100 years ago to three shepherd children in the small village of Fatima, Portugal in 1917. We ask that you bring your reverence and your appetite to this historic celebration, on Sunday, October 15 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington.
Sen. Baldwin Meet and Greet
DARLINGTON – The Democratic Party of Lafayette County, along with the Democratic Parties of Grant County, Green County and Iowa County, invite you to join them for a Meet & Greet with U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 6:00 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. This event will take place at Bridges Restaurant, which is located in the Super 8 in Darlington (201 Christensen Drive). LAFAYETTE COUNTY - The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to resolve to give blood regularly. Sixteen year olds are accepted with parental consent. New donors must bring a photo ID and another form of ID. DARLINGTON – The Darlington Garden Club will meet Thursday Oct. 19, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of Town Bank in Darlington. Carol Kranz will present the program. JoAn Blaine is the hostess.
Concealed Carry Class
DARLINGTON – A Concealed Carry Class is being offered by the Darlington Police Department on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Darlington Municipal Building in Darlington. For eligibility conditions call Jason King at 608-776-4981.
Witches & Wine

Creepy Critters at McCoy Public Library
SHULLSBURG – Bring the family on Oct. 26 from 6-7 p.m. to the McCoy Public Library for the Creepy Critters program. Halloween is just around the corner and spooky animals are on the loose in McCoy Library.  You will have a chance to see and hold a variety of animals.
Holy Rosary Spaghetti Dinner
DARLINGTON – Holy Rosary School Families are sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Our Lady of Fatima Parish Hall.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00 a plate.  Kids 5 and under will be free with an adult dinner.  Carryouts will also be available.  The proceeds from the spaghetti dinner will be used towards the new playground for our students and the surrounding neighborhood.
Water Quality Forum
PLATTEVILLE - There will be a nonpartisan, public forum on issues relating to water and water quality in rural Southwestern Wisconsin on Sunday, October 29th beginning at 1 p.m. in the Community Room of the Platteville Public Library.  There will be multiple presentations from a variety of speakers discussing all matters related to water, water consumption and water quality and how they relate to households, farms and businesses.   All are welcome to attend and the event is free of charge.
