Library plans Grand Opening
in Soldiers Grove
CF Grant computers
Godfrey Custer (left) and Jarrett Noel are using the new touch screen computers purchased through a Crawford County Community Fund grant as part of the library's expansion project. A Grand Opening celebration is planned Sept. 14-15.

Expansion and total renovation of the Soldiers Grove Public Library was made possible by many generous donors. One recent grant, from the Crawford County Community Fund, supports enhanced computer access and training.

“Two computer stations, made possible by the Community Fund’s grant, will greatly increase access to, and use of, computers and software for a variety of educational and job-search related work,” said Library Director Cele Wolf. Besides the hardware and software, training sessions in use of the computers are being scheduled later in the year.

The Soldiers Grove Library Board invites everyone to plan to see these and many other long-awaited improvements during a Grand Opening Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15, celebrating completion of the library’s expansion project.

More information on the weekend’s celebrations will be forthcoming. In the meantime, stop in and check out our new spaces and our ever-expanding collections.
