Second Harvest Food Pantry coming on Wednesday, April 23
To Gays Mills
Second Harvest Food Pantry
VOLUNTEER MARGARET DAVIDSON, right, pushes a cart in an assembly line of food at the Second Harvest Food Pantry in Gays Mills. The food is placed in the vehicles of food pantry patrons. Craig Anderson, left, and Jo Ann Gonos, middle, work at one of the many stations in the line.

GAYS MILLS - On Wednesday, April 23rd, Second Harvest will be in Gays Mills, from 2:00 to 3:00 to benefit our community with food.  Notice in the local newspapers did not make it to print this month, due to an oversight.  We should have a box for each household, with food to help stretch your food budget.

Please come with your empty trunk (to receive a CLEAN TRUNK CLUB AWARD) between 2:00 and 3:00, where Harry will direct you to the proper lane.  Then, on to the next person to report the number of households (no more than 4 per car please) you’re picking up for, and the number of people in each of those households.  Also, if there is any item on the selection list you do NOT want, please tell the greeter.  Pull forward where your food will be placed in the vehicle by our amazing volunteers.

Second Harvest is a great organization, recognizing the need to fight hunger in the towns and villages of Southwest Wisconsin.  We are truly thankful to them.  In March, we gave food to 300 households.

Should you have questions, please call JoAnn Gonos (608)-872-2583.
