Democrats demand Walker apologize for comparing workers to terrorists

In a letter to Gov. Scott Walker, Democrats are demanding that he apologize for his remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference in which he drew a comparison between workers in Wisconsin and brutal terrorists in the Middle East.

“Your comments are offensive and disrespectful to the thousands of Wisconsin workers, veterans and business owners who have peacefully expressed their opposition to your harmful policies which drive down family wages and eliminate workplace freedom. Their peaceful political expressions and participation in the legislative process are the fundamental basis of our democracy,” wrote Senate Democratic Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) and Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha). “We demand that you apologize to the citizens of Wisconsin and stop demonizing the hardworking men and women of our state.”
