MUSCODA - The Muscoda village board learned Tuesday evening of last week that profits from Muscoda Morel Festivals are helping to pay for current and future projects within the village.

Village Administrator Cinda Johnson reported that the total village revenue from the 2016 festival was $28,849.66. As of the meeting time, expenses totaled $17,231.82, resulting in a profit of $9,517.84. She said there were a couple of small bills yet to come in.

She characterized the event as successful, in spite of a rain-filled Friday night. She estimated the loss of bounce house admissions Friday may have reduced overall revenue by about $700.
