Another position with the home care program at the Lafayette County Health Department has been cut to part time, that being the billing specialist.
    At the Lafayette County Board of Health meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 11 there was discussion regarding the possible outsourcing of the home care billing and consideration of the home care billing specialist position with home care.
    Sue Matye, director of the Lafayette County Health Department, noted before the meeting that there had been previous consideration of eliminating the billing specialist position altogether, however that did not happen.    
    The position was reduced to four days a week, and became a regular part-time position with benefits. This change will be implemented as of Sept. 1 of this year.
