The Platteville Parks and Recreation Department and the Platteville Optimist Club will hold the Santa Calling program for the 27th year.

Optimists will volunteer time contacting children in preschool through second grade for a live phone call from Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus between Dec. 15 and Dec. 17.

Registration forms for calls are available at the Parks and Recreation Department, online at www.platteville.org or plattevilleoptimist.org, or by emailing konecny@platteville.org. Forms also are being distributed to Platteville schools and various day care centers. The calls are free; the registration deadline is Dec. 11.
