A three-year old Hillsboro girl was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Grant County village of Muscoda, Oct. 10.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Brownwynn Babb was a passenger in a mini-van being driven by Calli Jacobus, 26, of Hillsboro.

Jacobus was driving west on University Street and failed to yield at an intersection with Fifth Street. Her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Melissa Starkey, 26, Muscoda, and overturned.

Brownwynn Babb was taken to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, where she died.

Jacobus and another passenger in her vehicle, 8-month-old Oakley Babb, also of Hillsboro, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Starkey vehicle, Kassandra Post, 7, Muscoda, was taken to Richland Center Hospital with  non-life threatening injuries. Starkey was uninjured.

The State Patrol news release said Post and Oakley Babb were wearing seat belts, but it did not indicate if Brownwynn Babb was wearing a seat belt.
