Platteville Optimists have volunteered to maintain the third Platteville Community Arboretum garden along the Rountree Branch Trial.

“This was an obvious choice for our group as we meet at Country Kitchen each Friday at 7 a.m.,” said Optimist Beth Frieders. “It was an opportunity to do something for Tom Sigwarth, the Platteville Community Arboretum and our community.”

“PCA and the MPO Steering Committee has done a wonderful job with the trail project and we wanted to do our part,” said Optimist President Ron Weier.

Tiffany Vance and Karen Canny are maintaining Entrance Garden number one and Marsha McDermott Entrance Garden number two. To volunteer to maintain a PCA garden (like a butterfly garden or other native garden), contact Kris Wright, pca@plattevillearboretum.org, or Gene Weber, geneweber4@gmail.com. Design and planting can be provided by PCA Interns and the PCA social maintenance committee.
