A car driven by Katherine Mae Cornell, 18, Janesville, went off Black Hawk Park Road South into water Saturday around 7:45 p.m. Cornell was driving too fast and missed the curve, according to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department. A passenger in the car, Kristie Suzanne Martin, 17, Orfordville, was taken to an area hospital.
