For those wanting to make your way from downtown Potosi to the Grant River Campgrounds in the township, starting Monday, April 28, you will have to take a new route as the bridge on River Lane Road will be closed.

According to Grant County Highway Commissioner Dave Lambert, who found out details Friday afternoon from officials of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the section of River Lane Road beyond the interconnection with Slazing Road, will be closed for the replacement of the bridge.

The roadway will be closed from April 28 to at least mid-June. There will not be a detour marked for this closure.

As a reference, the bridge is adjacent to the land that was under debate a few years ago as Kowalski-Keiler/Bard purchased and intended to create a sand pit at the site.

For those looking to get to Grant River Campgrounds, they will have to take River Lane Road from USH 61 south of Potosi.
