Friendship Fund draws crowd and donations

The 12th annual Friendship Fund benefit auction drew quite a crowd at the American Legion building in Darlington on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The tentative total amount brought in by this year’s auction and donations recorded as of Monday Oct. 14 was $24,000, according to Kathy Brecklin, president of the Friendship Fund board.

Donations big or small are welcome at any time, but in order to be included in the final tally for this year, they must be made by Thursday, Oct. 31.

Donations can be mailed to P. O. Box 102, Darlington or can be dropped off at either Virtue Motors or Sisters in Darlington.
