Optimist Club presents Respect for Law Award

  The Optimist Club of Darlington recently presented two local organizations with the Respect for Law Award. Lori Garvey presented the Darlington Fire Department with a plaque recognizing the volunteer department’s commitment to the community.
    Several members of the Optimist Club then presented Lafayette County Sheriff Scott Pedley with a plaque for the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department as well. “We just want to recognize and thank the sheriff’s department for everything that you guys do and deal with behind the scenes of public knowledge,” said Garvey.
